**Self-fertile**

Early Richmond is a historic tart (pie) cherry, believed to originate from England in the early 1500s. It remains a favorite for early ripening and heavy crops.

Hardy to USDA Zones 4-8, vigorous, and widely adaptable. Good general disease resistance with reliable performance in many soils and climates.

Grow in full sun with well-drained soil; self-fertile but benefits from another tart cherry for better yields. Medium-sized, bright red fruit with thin skin and juicy, tart flesh — perfect for pies, sauces, jams, and preserves (sometimes enjoyed fresh when fully ripe).

Fruit processes exceptionally well and stores frozen for up to a year.
