**Self fertile**

Black Gold is a self-fertile sweet cherry developed in New York from a Stella x Emperor Francis cross, released in 2000 for northern climates.

Hardy to USDA Zone 4-8, vigorous and productive. Good resistance to bacterial canker and cracking; moderate tolerance to brown rot.

Grow in full sun with well-drained soil; late bloomer avoids frost. Large, glossy deep-red to black fruit with firm, juicy flesh and sweet flavor with mild spice.

Good storage — lasts 2-3 weeks refrigerated.
