Toka, also known as Bubblegum Plum, is a famous hybrid plum developed in South Dakota in 1911, crossing American and Japanese plums for extreme cold tolerance.

Very hardy to USDA Zone 3 (down to -40°F and below), fast-growing, and one of the best pollinators for other Japanese/hybrid plums.

Medium-sized clingstone fruit with reddish-bronze skin and golden-apricot flesh. Exceptionally sweet with a unique candy-like, bubblegum-perfumed flavor and juicy texture; skin adds a pleasant tart contrast.

Good shelf life — can be stored refrigerated for 2-4 weeks while retaining flavor.
